WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE GNAT DISPLAY TEAM
The Gnat Display Team is part of The Heritage Aircraft Trust (a UK registered Charity), dedicated to the restoration and conservation of classic historic aircraft.
It has its home base MOD St Athan near Cardiff in the UK. The team currently consists of three Folland Gnat T. Mk1 aircraft and one Folland Gnat F.1 aircraft, expertly maintained and displayed at airshows for the benefit of the public to see.
Our Aircraft
Most famous for it’s role as the original Red Arrows aircraft, the Folland Gnat plays a unique role in UK aviation history. Originally designed as a Fighter aircraft, it saw combat in the 1960’s, and also played a key role for the RAF training fast-jet pilots until the late 1970’s.

Our Team
The team consists of several highly experienced pilots and engineers, most of whom are either current of former UK military personnel. They are all dedicated to keeping these unique and historic aircraft flying at airshow displays throughout the UK and beyond.
